Peja Producten.
Founding of Peja Producten in Rotterdam. Company activity: selling household appliances imported from Germany. Peja Products is based in the Witte Huis in Rotterdam, which was the first skyscraper in Europe at the time.
Peja relocated to Arnhem
Peja relocated to Arnhem, the city that continues to be her home today. The demand for furniture and household appliances after the war is huge.
Peja sells the “Turbulent”
and the “condor”
Peja sells the “Turbulent” and the “condor” (small consumer airplanes) and attracts national attention. The first deal with VMF Stork (Verenigde Machine Fabriek Stork) is cloncluded.

Peja starts an office in Berlin. Cooperation between Peja & Akzo for the supply of chemicals to the Soviet Union and the supply of agricultural machines from Stork to Cuba.

From the mother company Peja Holding, 6 daughters are created: Peja Export, Peja Import, Peja Machines, Peja Electronics, Peja Technicaltrade and Peja Packaging.
New Peja headquarters
Peja’s new headquarters at Van Oldenbarneveldtstraat 85A in Arnhem was officially opened on March 7, 1978, by the State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Mr. Beyen. He opened the building by unveiling a wall sculpture by artist Van Oudheusden in the central hall. The sculpture symbolizes ‘many people in harmonious motion’.

Peja enters new countries and markets in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
50th anniversary
Peja celebrates its 50th anniversary. The ‘Pejanen’ love a party, so the trading company’s 50th anniversary is celebrated in style. On September 25, 1987, everyone from Peja comes to the Musis Sacrum in Arnhem for a company party. Singers Anita Meijer and Lee Towers provide musical entertainment until the early hours.
Fall of the Berlin Wall
The turbulent political and economic developments in Eastern Europe are making Peja’s work increasingly difficult. The centrally planned economy—and with it the state monopoly on foreign trade—is being abolished. With the disappearance of this characteristic element of doing business, Peja is facing substantially more competition.

Peja restructures and sells Peja export to STORK. All other subsidiairies are sold or disbanded and Peja decides to focus only on investments and the electric motor group: Dutchi Motors.
Dutchi Motors becomes very
active and successful
Dutchi Motors becomes very active and successful in the global electric motor industry and sells in over 60 countries through sales offices or affiliate distributors.
Dutchi Motors is sold
Dutchi Motors is sold to Listed Company Regal Beloit in the USA. Peja shifts the focus to the purchase and development of real estate and capital investment.

Takeover of
Hooper International
Takeover of Hooper International, a coachbuilder, purveyor of bespoke and collectible automobiles and lessor of young- and oldtimers. It is a non-profit organization, its collection currently consisting of 250 classic cars, mainly consisting of Rolls Royce and Bentleys, is displayed in the first National Rolls Royse Museum in the city of Arnhem.
Re-entry into the
electric motor industry
Peja decides to re-enter the electric motor business by investing in a new factory and sales organization in Arnhem and China. Omec Motors was founded.
